The judges were looking at a range of criteria when they selected Epson’s Moverio as the winner which included having a proven business model, market leading specifications, good partnership and developer base and positive customer & press feedback.

Valerie Riffaud-Cangelosi, Head of New Market Development, Epson Europe, commented: “We are delighted to be recognised as the leading player in augmented smart eyewear with Epson’s Moverio smart glasses, and to share a winning platform with the likes of Google, Snapchat and Apple.

“The Moverio BT-300 features Epson’s unique silicon-based Si-OLED (organic light emitting diode) digital display technology. The device is the lightest binocular see-through smart glass on the market, setting a new standard for augmented reality smart eyewear.”
